Case Study: My Style Authority

Client Brief

My Style Authority (MSA) is an US based tech startup that serves as an online platform where users are matched and connected with professionals from fashion and beauty industries. MSA came to us looking for end-to-end technology solutions that would enable them to build and launch their product, increase user base and allow them to go to market faster. They also wanted to get their proof of concept validated within a short period of time before deciding to go full throttle.

Challenges Faced

As a startup, MSA faced major challenges in terms of time and budget. As a tech startup they had to move fast and show traction to raise funding and compete with entrenched players in the market. Moreover, they needed to upgrade their product features regularly on a real-time basis and push on live environment. This was again a major hurdle for them.

Our Solutions

In order to address the requirement of MSA which was primarily an end-to-end solution capable of placing them successfully in the market, we broke our deliverables into multiple phases. We decided to come up with the first version of the product as Minimal Viable Product ( MVP ) which could be achieved at the earliest and speed up their go-to-market time.

Once the MVP was deployed live, we initiated digital marketing activities in-sync with their offline marketing strategies to gain traction to the platform. This included content creation, on-page SEO and social media marketing and automated email marketing.

We helped MSA gain a significant footing in different social channels which in turn increased their follower-base and engagement. We took utmost care while developing the MVP and incorporated all core features within a very short time so that MSA did not lose out on valuable resources.

Subsequently, we tested the website and also undertook real-time monitoring and maintenance as part of our commitment. We implemented best practises of website monitoring, server maintenance and deploying latest product versions live seamlessly.

Next stage was to work on the holistic re-design of MSA website platform user experience and website layout and adding more features to version 2.0 of the product by implementing mobile first features to it.

Being the digital partner of MSA. We were also technology partner and managed technology segment for “We PROMise” – an event conceptualised and sponsored by MSA to provide fashion and beauty makeovers to prom-goers.

Results Obtained

  • MSA is in the process of raising investment at present as Angel Investors and VC firms are impressed by the MVP and traction on the platform.
  • Most of the professional profiles coming up on first page of Google as a result of our programmatic approach to on-page SEO best practices.
  • Highly targeted organic follower growth on Instagram of over 1K within 3 months.
  • Website page visit count growing month-on-month approximately 1.7X.
